About

I have been creating mosaics for 3 years. My inspiration comes from the patterns, forms, shapes and colours found in nature.

I like to use a variety of different materials: ceramics, glass tiles, shells, beads, buttons and found objects. The starting point may be a particular piece of vintage crockery or the beads of a broken necklace. These elements, often in limited supply, make each mosaic entirely unique.

I live in Brighton with my three sons. Life with them is active, energetic, and hectic at times. Often there seems little time for contemplation of the world around us. By contrast, creating mosaics is a slow, methodical and completely absorbing process. It offers me an opportunity to slow down the fast pace of life and restore balance and harmony.
